WARNING Risk of entrapment from vehicle
lowering
When lowering the vehicle, people could
become trapped if their limbs are between
the vehicle body and the tires or underneath
the vehicle.
Make sure no one is
underneath the
vehicle or in the immediate vicinity of
the wheel arches when the vehicle is
being lowered.
Requirements:
- all vehicle doors are closed
- there is no trailer coupled
- there is no bicycle rack installed
- the battery is sufficiently charged (if necessary,
start the engine)
Apply the electric parking
brake.
Shift the transmission to
position .
Pull switch
in the cargo compartment
trim briefly.
Indicator lamp flashes
until the vehicle
has been lowered...
Other information:
WARNING Risk of accident from overloaded
tires
Overloaded tires may overheat and burst as a
consequence. Overloaded tires can also
impair the steering and handling characteristics
and lead to brake failure.
Observe the load rating
of the tires.
The load rating must be
at least half the
permissible axle load of the vehicle...
