The Brake Assist System (BAS) supports your
emergency braking situation with additional
brake force.
If you depress the brake pedal quickly, BAS is
activated:
- BAS automatically boosts the brake pressure.
- BAS can shorten the braking distance.
- ABS prevents the wheels from locking.
The brakes will function as usual once you
release the brake pedal. BAS is deactivated.
Function of ABS
The Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) regulates the
brake pressure in critical driving situations:
During braking, e.g. at full brake application
or insufficient tire traction, the wheels are
prevented from locking...
